Friends, I’m super excited to welcome you all to my Romancing the Hop stop. Starting today and ending September 3rd, over 100 authors and bloggers will talk about romance.
What makes a book a keeper? I was perusing my bookshelves recently, (ok, I alphabetized the books) and I discovered it comprises a lot of titles filled with humor. Sin & Sensibility has an great love scene by a pond with a weasel lurking in the background. Jillian Hunter’s The Love Affair of an English Lord has a recently deceased viscount hiding himself in the heroine’s closet. At The Bride Hunt Ball (Lavinia Kent) is great for sheer mayhem in husband hunting; Yours Till Dawn (Teresa Medeiros) always makes me smile. What I love about historical romance is that I cannot read one without my mood being affected. Almost always, I’m the better for reading the story.
So there’s my ‘go to’ books when a blue mood strikes. So my question to you, what book lifts your spirits no matter how many times you read it?

Claribel Wheaton never doubted she’d snare the dashing Lord Ramsbury. She even had a cunning plan to prevent his marriage. Unfortunately, her plans failed quite badly and she unwittingly spends a night in the wrong man’s bed.
Lord Justin is a man in love with the written word and a woman who wouldn’t give him the time of day. When he misplaces a cherished book of prose, and fate delivers the woman of his dreams, he’s honor bound to make it right. But can Justin convince Claribel that his love is true and that being married to a budding poet is everything her romantic heart desires?
