Happy February! So glad to have January (my most distracting month) firmly behind me and locked away. *screws door shut just to be sure* While I’m wallowing in the serenity of my writing world, my two minions are back in their respective schools and loving it so far. Let’s hope they stay this cheerful for a few more weeks. I’m totally optimistic, aren’t I? School isn’t for everyone and the youngest is just realizing there’s a LOT of homework in his future.
NEXT RELEASE NEWS
I’m putting the finishing touches on An Accidental Affair print and digital release, booking guest posts and ordering exclusive goodies for my wonderful newsletter subscribers (which I’ve not done before). Deciding what I want and what’s manageable for international postage has been interesting. The book comes out March 12 so I still have a bit of time to play around with ideas yet. If you’re not on my MailChimp newsletter list signup quick via the wesite subscripion page.
WORK IN PROGRESS NEWS
Due to a period of prolonged non-writing (the Summer school holidays) I’ve had plenty of time to daydream. Perhaps WAY too much time actually as I’ve got a few stories in my head now that are contemporary romances. That’s quite a shock for me as I’ve never written even one until now. What’s surprised me most – still needing to do research. I guess that fact never changes from one era to another – even for the one I’m supposed to be living in. More to come on these projects down the track.
FUN STUFF
This week it’s been necessary to replace my beloved first generation iPad with a new one. I went with the iPad mini size because I want it mostly for reading books and connecting on social media. So sad to lose my old one but with the new comes more cool gadgets. I have a Logitech keyboard the same size as the mini iPad so getting used to the smaller keys is a wee bit challenging.
So onwards and upwards. Lots to do in the coming weeks before An Accidental Affair comes out. BTW I’m looking for places to blog in March/April to show off my brand new book, as well as hoping reviewers will want to read it. If you’re a friend or blogger and often have guests on your site please get in touch with me if you haven’t heard from me yet. I’d love to visit with you.
Oops, there’s the school bus pulling up. Time to go nag help pre-teen boy to do his homework. Toodles.
