#SixSunday 36 Forsaking the Prize-Part 6

Ok, where did the week go? No idea? Me either. Not a terribly productive week for me words wise. I usually like to plan my time off but sometimes shite happens and before you know it you’re at Sunday again. LOL Good thing I like Sundays so much. However, you’re not here to listen to me waffle about how time is speeding up. You’re here to read my humble offering for Six Sentence Sunday. So without further ado ….

“He’s your son, right down to the perfect sweep of hair across his ears. He has our mothers’ dimples. There is no one left to be angry with.”

Leopold raked his hands through his hair. “Damn him. No wonder you wrote what you did.”

I really appreciate everyone who reads and comments each week, and those visiting my blog for the first time. You will find amazing authors participating in Six Sunday by visiting the host site, Six Sentence Sunday and by searching for #sixsunday via Twitter.

Six Sunday #35 Forsaking the Prize Part 5

Busy. Busy weekend. Right now, I’m probably glued to the TV watching the V8 Supercars, Australia’s premier racing series and my favorite and only sport to watch. Go Ford & DJR! Hope your day is just as fun. Continuing on from last week.

“This is not what I expected,” Leopold growled. “The duke said you were well cared for.”

“The duke lied, or else has a different definition of care than most people.”

“How can you not be furious?”

“The Duke of Romsey is dead. Cousin Edwin is dead, and the young duke doesn’t look a bit like either of them.”

Oh and PS: I do try to reciprocate and visit anyone who comments on my posts but sometimes that proves impossible. If you use word verification on your  blog it’s likely I couldn’t pass the test. After three attempts to comment, I admit defeat and move on to the next blogger. 🙁

Who wants an Alpha Male?

Alpha males are often described as confident, attractive and wealthy. My latest hero, Tobias Randall, has the first two in spades, the latter he lacks. He’s had a hard life so money is in short supply but does that preclude him from the title of Alpha Male? Are they born or made?

Other traits of an Alpha male:

* comfortable with himself
* passionate
* problem solver
* physically fit
* witty
* not afraid to admit he was wrong

My Tobias fits that description to perfection. He’s alpha male enough for me. See what you think:

The Blurb:

Abducted at fourteen and sent away to sea, rough and ready sailor Tobias Randall endured exile and cruelty only to have his plans for revenge crumble. He may have made a terrible first impression upon his return to Romsey Abbey, but he has a plan to reclaim his place—he’ll marry quickly and marry a woman of wealth. Yet the perils of life at sea are nothing compared to the danger of attempting polite conversation with a proper lady.

Blythe, Lady Venables, may be revered as a faithful, proper widow, but a cruel misunderstanding has placed her sanity in doubt. Determined to clear her name, she forms an uneasy truce with the wildest Randall of all, Tobias—a man shamelessly willing to seduce her—to uncover the mystery plaguing Romsey Abbey. With doubts and fears against them, Tobias and Blythe each venture into uncharted territory – love and scandal.

Thanks for dropping in on this stop of the Alpha Male Hop. I’m giving away 3 copies of Forsaking the Prize. Please leave a meaningful comment to enter the draw. “What traits do you like in your man?”
