His head tilted to the side and his gaze raked her. “Not mad,” he whispered. “Just very, very, unfriendly. Don’t worry, B. I’m not drunk enough to bed you without causing myself considerable pain. My rudder would likely suffer injury should I dare to dock at your port. Splinters, you know.”
