First up … the freebie
I’m blogging Tuesday (posts 9pm Australian EST or 6am American Central Time) at the Lady Scribes ~ Shh, I’m Writing a Romance ~ Blog and giving away a free copy of my One Wicked Night novella. All you have to do to win is leave a comment at the Lady Scribes blog to describe the preparations you would make to create one wicked night for you and your partner. Keep everything G-Rated and I’ll announce the winner on both sites late tomorrow .
In Other News
I completed edits on my second regency manuscript, working title Broken, in April with just 30 minutes to spare. I find setting personal deadlines really works well for me and it was such a relief to cross the line and say, yay – I’ve put my couple to bed. Giles and Lilly are pretty happy where I left them, kissing under the sheets while others ran off to arrange their wedding. My bad boy is getting hitched. So happy!
I’ve worked pretty flat out so far this year and I’m going to take things a bit easy for the month of May. But I have a query blurb to write and a synopsis to finalise then I’ll plot which agent inboxes to fill up with queries for both Lover in Waiting and Broken.
I also need to finish an online class I never really started. Back in March I signed up for Nicole North’s Turn Up The Heat workshop, but because of other committments I had to let my participation slide. However, one of the great things about a Nicole North class is that her handouts are so professional. I’ve taken a class of hers before, Take Your Writing to the Next Level, so I knew could work from the notes alone and still get my money’s worth without the feedback. There is always so much to learn.
Oh, and of course there is always my wonderful writing partners work to critique and with luck, and Australia Posts co-operation, I’ll have a new Lydia Dare regency novel, Tall Dark & Wolfish, delivered soon. (Foot is tapping – it should be here by now) And I’d like to get out just a little more this month. Writing requires a fair degree of isolation to get the words on the screen, but there are days when I miss necessity of heading off each day to a workplace.
You know now that I’ve written that all down its not really an easy month is it? LOL.
Never mind – I’ll cope. So I hope you all have a great week and if you’re a mum, I hope your Mothers Day this Sunday turns out the way you want it to.

I don’t need a giveaway copy. I just bought my own!
Very much looking forward to reading it, too.
Congratulations on One Wicked Night being published! I enjoy a historical read now and then, and Wicked looks to be right up my alley.
Your website is top-notch, crisp, clean lines and a pleasing color palette.
