#SixSunday 43 In Her Image

It’s not long now till Six Sentence Sunday ends. I’ll be really sorry to see it go. I’m still looking for a regular replacement so if you know of something else similar please give me a heads up. For this last post, I’m continuing with In Her Image and I’m not sure when I’ll post more. If you want to read last weeks six go here.

“I thought that was you but could not believe my eyes from such a distance.”

Doris, wishing she wore the courtesans comforting battle dress, strove to hide her revulsion. “Lord Ramsay.”

The over-dressed peacock stepped closer to grip her hands in his sweaty globs of flesh. “I still cannot believe my eyes. What has befallen you?”

I really appreciate everyone who reads and comments each week, and those visiting my blog for the first time. If you’re new, each Sunday a great bunch of writers publish a short six sentence excerpt from a work in progress or a published story. You will find amazing authors participating in Six Sunday by visiting the host site, Six Sentence Sunday and by searching for #SixSunday via Twitter.

  1. Great imagery in the sweaty globs of flesh. I think that there are plans to continue Six Sunday (at least a rogue offshoot of it anyway) via Skye Warren’s blog 🙂

  2. Ugh. I wouldn’t want his sweaty gobs of flesh anywhere near me. Revolting! Well done, Heather!

So glad to see there’s an off-shoot of SSS. A bunch of us were talking about continuing informally and posting links on Twitter with the SixSunday hashtag.

  3. OK, I’m thoroughly revolted right along with her – terrific description in this six! I signed up with Skye as well – she was kind of asking for a show of hands who might be interested in continuing a version of Sunday excerpts and I LOVE reading them!!! I find a lot of new books this way too 🙂
